Once Upon A Rose still life painting by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan

I have seen many paintings of gift boxes and love them all. I decided that I wanted to paint one myself so I chose now to do it. Roses are also a challenge for me and with much practice I hope to get better at them. I always have trouble with coffee cups, keeping the shape right and yes those ellipses. Clear glass is in a league of its own so as you can see this painting was filled with challenges. I loved them all and am pretty pleased with the overall outcome. 20x16 oil still life on canvas panel.
