A small dynamic painting with loose brush strokes and such a feeling 

of just being there. As I painted this I think I could taste the

saltiness on my lips and the air did seem a bit moist and warm.

I love that mist filled air where shrimp boats gather. I can remember the heavy salty air at Bayou La Batre,Al

a little fishing town on the gulf coast. My uncle Robert owned a shrimp boat there named the Morning Star. I think of him as I paint this.
