I bought some canvas recently that was difficult to paint on. It grabbed the paint and soaked it up making it very hard to paint. I applied gesso and it made it a little easier but I can not say that I ever got it to take paint like it should. This is 20x16 oil on canvas panel.

One vegetable that I do have a hankering for is turnips. They are sweet,strong and just

plain good. I love turnip greens and turnip tops. They are a bit peculiar though. 

You really should try them sometime.

If you have never tried a raw turnip you should.

They have a very distinct flavor. And oh! that crisp crunch.
