Gathering still life painting by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan
While I was camping at LaGrange , Ga. I bought fruit and set this up on the Picnic table. My camera

Love Boat still life painting by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan

Love Boat still life painting by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan
Ok, So here is the truth...I painted this and thought of Banana Boat but then looking at the enduring position of the cherries decided instead to name it love boat after all the banana is kinda shaped like a boat. 10x8 oil on canvas panel. I am really proud of the floral cloth and the solid blue strip cloth. I am venturing out in my set ups and adding more items/interest.

More In Than Out by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan

More In Than Out by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan
The handmade pottery bowl was a gift to me as a housewarming gift when I bought my
very first house. By some miracle I still have it. I used to make pottery myself. There is nothing like it. The feel of that wet cool clay between your hands as it takes on the shape that you mold it. Like I said there is just nothing like it.

Why Am I Here by Angela Sullivan

Why Am I Here by Angela Sullivan
I the famous gentlemen frog who is draped here across this silly bowl am trying to figure out how
I got myself into this precarious situation. I am a ceramic frog. The kind that hangs out on flower pots. I have been there pretty much since I can remember then today she picked me up and placed me here across this bowl. I don't like it as much. There are no pretty green flowers to hide in. Why Am I Here....I just want to go back home.
I love this frog. I have had him for several years and I bought that clear glass bottle at an antique mall a few months ago. Lovely together right? Just like they were made for each other.

The Bottom of The Bowl

The Bottom Of The Bowl
One little cherry left alone in the bottom of the bowl. How fitting as it could be
devoured already by some hungry child.

My Home on the Kitchen Table

My Home on the Kitchen Table
That red thing? Is that a fish? If it is then surely it needs some water. Water
means life and I feel sorry for that little thing just laying there outside the safety of the bowl.
Oh Well! I will just mind my own business right here in
My Home on the Kitchen Table.

I had such a fun time painting this. Another one that made me smile.

We voted and decided to leave the big guy out. That is just
the way it goes. He was out numbered. Maybe next time pal...

Black Sheep

Black Sheep
What does this mean I ask myself. My daughter Julie who is a Marine just
got back from deployment. On some adventure in a land far away she bought
me this cup. Black Sheep. Does it mean she thinks I am a black sheep or is it
her? Surely a question to ponder....It must be her and her rebel self not sweet little
ole me. Yes yes I know she must be seeing her inner self....Don't you agree.

Over the Easter HOlidays this year I visited my daughter in
San Diego and she just had to make California Rolls for us. I did not
really care for them but did take pictures and thought they would be
