In Time For Breakfast still life painting by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan

In Time For Breakfast still life painting by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan
I have painted small works of art for the last few years and did rather enjoy it. Now for a short time I have been painting larger works and it is kinda like learning some things all over. I am liking it tho.I am not as fast as I used to be but I think it is paying off. I hope you like it.

Cackle Berry still life painting by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan

Cackle Berry still life painting by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan
I found this little creamer and knew that it was just calling me to paint it. I have always loved painting eggs but to be honest have quite failed at painting them. I figured a cut one with the yellow showing might be an easy subject and am quite happy with how it turned out. And then the berry...

Fabulous Five egg painting by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan
I like the look of  painted eggs. Carol Marine paints them so well.
Each time I paint them it is certainly a learning experience.

Not Without Salt

Not Without Salt
I painted this and there was just something about it that was not quite right. I studied and studied it and even photographed it but when my daughter walked in she said did you mean for those edges on the broken eggs to be smooth? I had painted them perfectly round. Of course I straightway changed the edges......Mush better I think. 7x5 oil on canvas panel. For sale or auction at my DPW Gallery just follow the link to purchase via Pay Pal.

Wisk Away

Wisk Away
Some one cracked me and poured me out of my shell with out even a thought
of guilt. The watched as slid gingerly to the bottom of this bowl. Now I wait not so patiently
as I know that I am about to change form. I will soon be Wisk Away to become
some delicious morsel to be enjoyed for but a moment in time.

Hanging Out at the Top

Hanging Out at The Top
Well I am a mouse sitting on top of a green cup. In real life
my tail is attached closely to my body but for today I decided to let it all hang down.
Yep! I sit here at the top just looking out over everything. My thoughts......
I sure am glad that I am not an egg. They are useless. At least I can eat this
hunk of cheese in peace.

I See Myself

I See Myself
I wanted to paint an egg because usually I struggle with them.
I have even been thinking of painting a series of eggs just because.
We will see but for now it is just a thought because I only have
one egg in the fridge. Maybe I will buy some more soon.

Escaped

Escaped
Escaped is how I felt today as I attended an actual OIL painting
class with Carolyn McDonald in Birmingham. I was whispering under my breath
I think I can, I think I can. Well I was not able to get the colors right on the
croping but here is the finished result. I love eggs when other people paint them.
