Piggly Wiggly animal painting by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan

Piggly Wiggly animal painting by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan
A silly pig painted with oil on canvas panel 4x4 inch. This really made me happy and I caught myself smiling several times as I painted this little treasure. What to name him? Piggly Wiggly of course.

I Have Something You Want by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan
I have still been pushing the limits to see just how subtle changes in value can really make
or break a painting. I really am liking this one. 5x7 oil still life on canvas panel.

Saving For A Rainy Day by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan

Saving For A Rainy Day by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan
If you have wondered why I have not posted for a few days it is because I have been locked in at the hospital for three days. When the snow storm began I got a call from the hospital at 11am that they were sending the National Guard to pick me up for my shift which would began at 7pm. I had no option but to go as I am a critical care nurse. We camped out on mattresses on the floor with all of the ICU staff sleeping in the same conference room. They fed us and kept us warm and even arranged for showers and personal needs of course. We could not leave the hospital until today when the weather warmed up enough for us to leave. Wow!!! That was not fun. There is no place like home.

Bacon and Eggs by Angela Sullivan

Bacon and Eggs by Angela Sullivan
Hi! I am a pig. Not just any pig I tell you but a pink pig. I don't have hair and I don't like anything about slop. I must tell you that I found a wonderful friend. He is this chicken. You see...I have never been understood before. Hanging around with pigs just proved to make me feel well...ordinary but being with this chicken makes me see how special I am. Now when people look at us it must seem a little strange. I over heard some guy the other day as he passed us whisper Bacon and Eggs....What does that mean? Must be something good.

Saving Grapes

Saving Grapes
I usually paint with a limited palette but sometimes feel a little
stagnant in that. I find that without really meaning to I always use a lot of blue.
I decided to try some new colors for a fresh change. Only one new color was
introduced besides my norm. The new color is Master's Touch from Hobby Lobby.
The color is not artist grade but is still nice if you can look past that. Today I used
a nice blue called LT GRAPHITE
I will use it again.

Scruffy

Scruffy
I am a pig but not just any pig. I should be slick and pink with a little dirt of course.
Instead I have a different look, a new look. I am beautiful even beneath
my scruffy exterior. Scruffy is good. Loosen up you.....Try it you will be surprised how good you will feel.

Pink Pig Blue Pig

Pink Pig Blue Pig
These two pig share the same pasture. They roam and root. They gallop and play in the
morning sun. They don't know that one is Caucasian and the other not so there are no prejudices here.
They love they share and they are ultimately happy. Imagine that.

Sweet and Sour Pork

Sweet and Sour Pork
This is a painting of a little clear tinted blue vase I found somewhere
about two years ago but have been kinda apprehensive about painting it until
today. It was quite fun. I must confess that I did study Helen Coopers paintings to determine
how I should approach the colored glass. Check out her blog. This was so much fun.
I do find lemons quite a challenge too. Oh yeah and that crazy wide up pig was
just begging to be painted once again.
