Looking Straight Ahead by Angela Sullivan

Looking Straight Ahead
A sheep. I have always been intrigued by sheep or any farm animals that I know of. They are so unique. I love their look and the smell of fresh hay. I have never lived on a farm and have only visited one once or twice but I still remember. I am kinda afraid of them, horses, cows, sheep, goats and yes even chickens but still I like them. I painted this sheep just because and I must say that it feels pretty good. 7x5 oil on canvas panel

Those Berries by Angela Sullivan

Those Berries by Angela Sullivan
When I was a child there used to be these purple berries on long stems. They
grew straight and tall with balls of berries at little clusters protruding from the stems. I loved those
berries. They were beautiful. I thought I would paint some just because.

Concentration

Concentration
I am thinking about what I should do next. Should I just sit here in the mid day sun?
Or should I try to find a mouse in the tall grass just beyond the yard.  Yawn!! Nope I think I am fine
right here I smell something cooking right now....Smells like chicken. I think I will wait and just beg for a piece of that later...

Miss Prissy Pants

Miss Prissy Pants
This little canine has one problem. She does not know that she is a dog.
She sits and begs for food but finds it an annoyance because you should just know what
she wants without her having to ask. She is one little miss prissy pants if you know what I mean.

Not Without Ketchup

Not Without Ketchup
I just can't tell you enough how much I am enjoying painting these days. It is just
like something happened overnight and I am painting just like I have dreamed of painting all these
years. I am loving the painterly strokes and finally producing something I am proud of and not in a haughty way. I feel blessed to be able to do something that is so much fun and to be pretty pleased with the results. I was looking back to the very first paintings I posted on this blog. Boy and I amazed. Thanks to all of my followers who have stood by me through these last few years and to all my new followers who have just found my art. I hope that in the coming days and years you will find something that makes you smile.

I haven't written very much lately so much is going on with my life. Everything
seems to be going so fast it is unbelievable. My oldest daughter is retiring from the Marine Corp
and is moving here. Hooray! Like that isn't awesome enough...My youngest daughter called last week and told me that she is moving here also. Unbelievable. My prayers are being answered one by one. I am so blessed.

Country Red

Country Red
Today I decided to start a series of barns. Two things they will have in common is that
they will all have barns and second they will be painted on the small 4x4 canvas panel. They pack
a lot of punch to be so little. How many will I paint? I don't know. I will paint them until one day you will visit and see something else where a barn might have been.
Oil painting on 4x4 canvas panel yes that is 4inches x 4inches.
