Faded Roses

Faded Roses
Sometimes roses only get better. I love those shriveled ones which have dried
out. The faint fragrance still lingers. It is one of the wonderful things which God has given us.
Along with the smell of a puppy's breath, and children's hugs. Life really is wonderful.

was given to me by my best friend in the whole wide world Gloria.
Oh I am still trying to paint a rose and this is another attempt.
It won't be the last. 10x8 acrylic on canvas panel.

Dragonfly Inn

Dragonfly Inn
This is named Dragonfly Inn because that is the name of the little glass
house. I bought this several years ago somewhere out west I think in Colorado.
The original has so much more depth. Is it just me or does everyone just wake up one
day and your paintings are different. Do you think so or is it just me.....?
Hope you like the bold use of color in this one.

When I Fall In Love

When I Fall In Love
This painting makes me think of love. The bold play of color, uncontrolled
brushstrokes, the play of light, reflections and even hidden things, things which need
a closer look to study its truth. Thus the title: When I Fall In Love
12x12 acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas. Edges are painted

From The Heart

From The Heart
Roses are such a challenge for me.
My heart tells me to paint them but somehow they never seem to turn out right.
Maybe I should do like other artist and paint a series of only roses then surely
I would get better at it. Anyway!  Hope you like these because I painted them just for you.

Garden Beauties

Garden Beauties
The first roses. They blush in pink and wait for the bumble bees to
pollinate others close by. The garden comes alive with the work of
bees and butterflies and even the unsuspecting hummingbirds.
