Ready horse painting by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan

Ready horse painting by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan
To some this may look a little messy to others an intentional mess and yet still others organized chaos. I like to call it art. I have been studying the work of other artist and each time I ask myself why I like what they painted. As I study farther I ask is it the smooth perfect lines or the hidden colors. I decided it was all of it. I think I especially like it when I add colors that even I don't see. Like blue when it should be black or pink or purple that I decide to place just because I want to. Anyway what I find today is a loose painting that makes me happy and isn't that what it is all about?

Traditions by Angela Sullivan

Traditions by Angela Sullivan
I just thought I would try another. I just can't seem to make myself
paint smooth and plain. I do ok to start with then I get that crazy palette knife and
loads of paint just seems to jump onto the canvas. I am happy when I paint. It is like all the
stress of the day just flows away.

In A Misty Field by Angela Sullivan

In A Misty Field by Angela Sullivan
I could have been a city horse but no I was one of those lucky ones. I was born on a small farm in the deep south. My mom was a race horse and dad...well he just plowed the fields. But we were happy back then and now that I am all grown up I hope I can teach my offspring the same values that my parents taught me. Things about never spit into the wind and always let ladies go first. Oh yes and that sunshine is Gods way of saying I love you...5x7 oil on canvas panel.

Fancy Dancer by Angela Sullivan

Fancy Dancer
The dances of the Native American tribes are so
colorful and energetic, The colorful dress seems to fly through the air
and amaze all who are watching. I couldn't resist painting this one.
