A rose is not a rose is not a rose is not a rose. These things are not easy to paint. Oh they look easy enough but I lost sleep over them. I just can't leave well enough alone. I could have painted a cherry or a cow or something a little easier but no I had to do a rose. After all of that being said this painting did turn out very nicely. 8x8 oil on canvas panel. still life
