Always There

Always There
Standing...In the sun...in the rain. On good days and bad. Standing...
Just waiting day after day to help that wayward straggler. Kinda like us. I do
believe I am here to help someone. Someone less fortunate than myself. My
hope is that sometime before my life is over I would have made the life of someone
else better. What will I do today? I will let you know.

Into The Sunset

Into The Sunset
Not paying attention to what is behind but looking ahead. What does
he have to lose he knows what is behind but ahead lies many exciting possibilities. I
think I will just ride off into the sunset.

In His Shoes

In His Shoes
One of the most important people in the whole world is Dad.
I would like to think that this title carries with it the responsibility of knowing
that those who follow will surely mimic who you are and what you do. Be careful
Dad someone very important is watching you.

Close To The Beach

Close To The Beach
Boats are so interesting as they float gingerly upon the calm summer water.
They leave reflections of all kinds which make them much more appealing.
I just love them don't you?

In The Light Of Things

In The Light Of Things
Sometimes when the sun lights up something it is as if
the hand of God is touching it. As though it is meant to be. You just stand there
looking in awe as the sun shifts and you realize that you have just seen something
spectacular. In The Light Of Things

Fresh Picked

Fresh Picked
Yes Yes! You could go to the supermarket and buy those
firm un-natural tomatoes but you will surely regret it as soon as you get home.
They might feel all firm and plump but just one bite will tell you that you made the
wrong decision. Now take us for example...We are fresh picked. Fresh picked
from your neighbors garden with permission of course. Fresh picked the only way to go...

A Blue Hair Affair

A Blue Hair Affair
Guess what I saw today? A little old lady with blue hair...
That's right blue hair... I thought she looked so sofiscated and smart. I wanted
to be like her because I like it when people notice me... in a good way of course...
I went home and passed by a mirror and to my surprise I noticed it I have blue hair too...
I feel like a million bucks.

Black Sheep

Black Sheep
What does this mean I ask myself. My daughter Julie who is a Marine just
got back from deployment. On some adventure in a land far away she bought
me this cup. Black Sheep. Does it mean she thinks I am a black sheep or is it
her? Surely a question to ponder....It must be her and her rebel self not sweet little
ole me. Yes yes I know she must be seeing her inner self....Don't you agree.

If I Could Have Just One Cherry

is not to much to ask. Is it. Well I would be happy for a little while anyway.

30 Years Later
Soooo...... as many of you know my husband and I repeated our
wedding vows last Saturday. It was so much fun...Kinda perfect in fact.
I usually just post my art on this blog but thought this deserved to be shared.
Hope you enjoy looking. I wanted to share because I feel as though many of
my followers are my friends. Here is a glimpse of me and my best friend.

The Fence

The Fence
I tell you if it wasn't for this fence I would come over there right now. Thats right...
I really would do it. I see that green grass that is surely greener than what I have right here. Oh and by the way I bet those daisies are quite munchie too. If you could just hand them to me I will be quite content I guess the fence is really for my protection anyway. No don't open that gate....I am ok right where I am...

Walking In The Rain

Walking In The Rain
Well actually I wanted to say walking in the rain with the one I love....
Some of you may remember this song. However today Walking is the rain alone is
the case. Isn't rain wonderful. The world smells so fresh and clean. Every thing just looks a little
brighter after a nice summer rain. One more secret about me is that I really just love the rain.
I was sitting on the front porch the other day when a down pour occurred. I got so wet that I
was forced indoors. With sadness I left my place of thought and solitude. Oh Well! Another day...

Griz

Griz
Yes I am a grizzly one of the meanest bears on the planet. Just the
mention of my name make men tremble. Sometimes I do eat people but that
is usually when they get to close like in Yellowstone. You know those pesky tourist
poking around where they shouldn't. One thing though.....I don't eat children. Nope don't like
them at all.

Lettuce

Lettuce
Lettuce is not all its cracked up to be. Yes I now it does not have
a lot of calories but who cares. It is yucky. It says something about
it when the food you are eating is green. Oh Well! That is all I have so I guess I will just
have to eat it. Want some?

Sticking Together

Sticking Together
My mama and me like it here. We can go anywhere we choose but here is where we want to be.
Happy we are because all we do all day long is roam around and eat all the grass we want and then late in
the afternoon a truck pulls up and throws off some hay. I tell you I really like that hay but I can't have to
much because it sure makes my belly hurt when I eat more than I should  but that milk....Now that is what I am talking about. Sweet warm milk....Nothing better....

drink. I can eat grass any time but have to sneak some of that warm sweet milk when ever opportunity knocks. Catch ya later I am quite busy right now.

Butt What
Yes yes! You caught my back turned and thought you would take that opportunity to sneak up
on me didn't you? Well I ain't like most cows. I have really really good ears and nothing much
gets past me. I could feel your eyes on me. You thought I wasn't looking but I don't need to look. I have a sixth sense about me and for sure I am too clever for you. Butt you say......Butt What?

We Might Get Wet

We Might Get Wet
A beautiful sunny day at the beach. Beach umbrella out just to
protect us from the scorching sun then all of a sudden from
out of nowhere the clouds roll in and in the distance we can see the rain pelting
down as it touches the far away water. Should we go or should we stay.
What I am trying to say is We Might Get Wet.

Getting My Feet Wet

Getting My Feet Wet
A day at the beach is soooooo much fun. I find that you can just
romp and play until your tongue hangs out....No literally. So much fun that
no wonder we can't come here every day. I would only weigh about a pound. I have
never thought of exercise in such an enjoyable way.  Wow! am I tired.

The Price of Freedom

The Price of Freedom
What is the price of freedom? To some it is greater than others. Some give their sons and
daughters while others give their lives. While we celebrate with fried chicken and watermelon and listen to the pops and whistles of fireworks some people hear real explosives. Instead of their children screaming
and playing under the water sprinklers they hide in shelters in fear for their lives. We are so blessed.
We have so much but for sure at a price. Thank you soldiers thank you all who have served so that
we can celebrate in peace. Thank you to all you mom's and dad's who have prayed for your children...for my children who have gone far far away to protect us. Happy 4th and may we embrace peace...
I planned ahead and painted this dog for each of you to help us remember the Red, the White, and Blue.

The Dog I Want To Be

The Dog I Want To Be
The Dog I Want To Be... Where shall I begin. I want to be loyal yet kind and fun to play with.
I want to be the kind of dog that kids beg their mom's to take home. I want to jump and play and
frolic among the flowers. I want to play fetch with some little boy. I want to romp on the beach and
lay down in the shade of a big southern oak. I want to sit on the creek bank as my person catches fish.
At the end of the day I want to sleep at someone's feet and know that when I die I will go to heaven
because after all.....All dogs go to heaven...right?

Hiding In The Garden

Hiding In The Garden
I found the door open and headed out for a little walk. I didn't get
very far before I realized I was lost. I found a place in this garden where I could not
be seen so I hunkered down there. I decided that the best place to be was hiding out in the garden.
I watched as the bees buzzed around me and of course some beautiful butterflies. I felt
the summer breeze as it gently blew my hair in my face. I looked down as a hairy
thousand legged worm crawled by in the dirt.... Oops! gotta go
my person is right over there....Thank God I have been found......
