I couldn't resist that title. I put two gourmet tea bags in a cup and as I looked at them while trying
to come up with a title what else could it be but

Lily Blossom by Angela Sullivan

Lily Blossom by Angela Sullivan
I find myself trying to get out of this cup. I know I know I should be happy just sitting here
in just the right amount of water to keep me fresh and crisp. But isn't it true that we are never happy
with where we are. The grass is greener on the other side of the fence. Right?

A Simple Gift by Angela Sullivan

A Simple Gift by Angela Sullivan
A couple of apples and a gift of bath salts in a pretty box. This box sits on my shelf
day after day overlooked while I pic other things to paint. But not today. Today it caught my attention and I reached for it and sat it behind two apples. It still amazes me that each dab of color was intentional. Each dark blue and light area yep.....meant to be. Each shimmer of white and the yellow on the apples all placed there on purpose. I love painting...really.

A Touch of Cherry by Angela Sullivan

A Touch of Cherry by Angela Sullivan
I am just a little green bird. Not sure what they call me. I think some people call me a mushroom bird. What on earth does that mean? I am not moldy and I don't grow in the ground. I am just a little bird. Well anyway the other day I was sitting on this table and saw something beautiful. Two cherries was right there just waiting for me to eat them only come to find out they were hard and I could not figure out how to eat them. Hard as a rock they were and as I tried to eat them I almost broke my beak. Then the lady of the house came by picked up the cup and drank coffee out of it. How foolish I was to think the cherries were real. I can see now that they are just painted on...just like me.

My Kitchen Towel by Angela Sullivan

My Kitchen Towel by Angela Sullivan
One day there were three oranges in a bowl on the counter. Actually we had been there a while just kinda
drying out. We were neglected and alone. She walked by and flipped on a light and wouldn't you know that at that very moment a glimmer of light hit us just like a spotlight. With a slight crooked smile her gaze caught ours and it was love at second site. She gently picked us up careful not to drop us. She carried us away and placed us on this beautiful kitchen towel. This is where we belonged all along.

Why Am I Here by Angela Sullivan

Why Am I Here by Angela Sullivan
I the famous gentlemen frog who is draped here across this silly bowl am trying to figure out how
I got myself into this precarious situation. I am a ceramic frog. The kind that hangs out on flower pots. I have been there pretty much since I can remember then today she picked me up and placed me here across this bowl. I don't like it as much. There are no pretty green flowers to hide in. Why Am I Here....I just want to go back home.
I love this frog. I have had him for several years and I bought that clear glass bottle at an antique mall a few months ago. Lovely together right? Just like they were made for each other.

Pins and Needles by Angela Sullivan

Pins and Needles by Angela Sullivan
I am a tomato half hidden in the shadows. I am lying in wait just biding my time till I am needed.
You see that pin laying there on the table. Well that is my weapon. I may seem weak but I am deadly when I need to be but honestly most can be taken down with one little jab to the eye. Ok actually this is my day off so all is safe.

Red White and by Angela Sullivan

Red White and     by Angela Sullivan
A cup...just a simple cup that is what I look like. Not so I say...I am the watcher of the tomato. You would
probley think that no one would want him but in actuality he is in high demand. All little old ladies would
give her right arm for one like him. I will just stay right here and make sure that he stays safe at all times.

Zoe On A Good Day by Angela Sullivan

Zoe On A Good Day
There is just one thing that I hate. The Groomer.... That lady is not so nice. First of all she picks me up and plops me down on that hard table. Then she puts a giant rope around my neck I guess to make me be still. I won't take this lying down. I squiggle and wiggle and whine and howl all to no avail. She won't give up. She just looks at me and sighs. I look at her exhausted. I can't wait to get home. She clips and dips and trims and in the end she sprays me with that perfume stuff. And all of this makes my lady happy. I can't wait to get home I will be under the bed for quite sometime.

Bacon and Eggs by Angela Sullivan

Bacon and Eggs by Angela Sullivan
Hi! I am a pig. Not just any pig I tell you but a pink pig. I don't have hair and I don't like anything about slop. I must tell you that I found a wonderful friend. He is this chicken. You see...I have never been understood before. Hanging around with pigs just proved to make me feel well...ordinary but being with this chicken makes me see how special I am. Now when people look at us it must seem a little strange. I over heard some guy the other day as he passed us whisper Bacon and Eggs....What does that mean? Must be something good.

Paradise In The Woods by Angela Sullivan

Paradise In The Woods
I was just notified that this painting won third place in the cfai June Challenge.
I was also chosen as one of their  feature artist this month please visit to read my interview.
I was surprised and very honored. Thank you to all of you who visit my blog and support me.
To celebrate I will be doing a giveaway. I will give away a 6x6 oil on canvas or your choice of a 5x7. The winner will be drawn from all who comment on my blog for the month of July. The winner will be announced on August first.
Some people think they need an RV to camp. That is because they have not experienced the
joy of camping in a tent. Laying down right there under the stars. If you are lucky you can have the cover off and see those twinkling lights in the sky. The sound of the crickets or the croaking of bullfrogs just make for a good summers night. If you should get bored you can always get one of those mason jars and catch a few lightening bugs. Any bad day at camping is better than a good day at work...

In A Misty Field by Angela Sullivan

In A Misty Field by Angela Sullivan
I could have been a city horse but no I was one of those lucky ones. I was born on a small farm in the deep south. My mom was a race horse and dad...well he just plowed the fields. But we were happy back then and now that I am all grown up I hope I can teach my offspring the same values that my parents taught me. Things about never spit into the wind and always let ladies go first. Oh yes and that sunshine is Gods way of saying I love you...5x7 oil on canvas panel.
