Learning The Hard Way

Learning The Hard Way
I painted this for the challenge at DPW
Go to their challenge to read more.
7x5 acrylic on canvas panel.
This was more difficult than you would think. We were
to plan the amount of brush strokes the painting would take and
try to stick to that number.  I failed as I thought I could do it in
29 strokes but did it in about 34.

Well done, Angela. Thirty-four is still great. Nice job on that cherry, too.

hmmmm, interesting one Angie, not sure I'd want to try that though especially with watercolor :)

Angela, this is very nice and 34 is darn close to 29.
Not a failure, but a success! You've done the challenge, I have not!

Hi Angela, I went over to DPW and looked around. You have company for underestimating the number of strokes. I think this was a great exercise.

I don't think you failed, most of the artists that tried this challenge went over their number of strokes including me. Great job...nice litte painting of a cherry, by the way!

I really like your painting, Angela! It turned out much better than my pitiful answer to this challenge!

It is harder than it sounds.
