Twist and Shout

Twist and Shout
6x6 Oil on canvas panel.
Boy does it feel funny not to say acrylic.
I did have fun at the class. I am undecided as to what
I should do from here. I love the butteriness of oil but I am so
used to acrylic. Any suggestions? Oh well! I guess I will follow my heart???

If this painting is an indication of what you can do with oils, I'd say keep experimenting with oils as well as your acrylics. This is a fabulous painting!

Why not use both? I love both mediums and work with one or the other depending on the subject. Some things just seem to want to be painted using oil, others acrylic. Then again, many seem ideally suited for graphite. Anyway, it's great to have different options to choose from...keeps things fresh and lively, but also challenging. Love and best wishes to you on your creative journey! :o)

Wonderful painting Angela! I really like the arrangement and the composition.

As for Oil or Acrylic. Do what works best for you and what you enjoy the most.

A real success Angela! For a first painting it's quite encouraging. I'm sure you've already decided to pursue the experience. So much to gain!
