I set this arrangement up on top of an Igloo Cooler and painted this with the sun shining down
on it. It was such fun and the results really turned out nice.

My husband has been sick lately and between that and work painting has been hard so I thought I would repost some older work. Do you remember.
Love You With A Purple Passion still life by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan
Just decided to paint a still life I feel like it has been forever since I painted one. Maybe I got carried away with the purple or blue or whatever it is that you see......
A Few Yellow Flowers by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan
My daughter always tells me that when I paint something that I always paint more than one. She is right. I have painted a few barns I just enjoy painting the wood and no barn is complete without a fence right.
Ready horse painting by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan
To some this may look a little messy to others an intentional mess and yet still others organized chaos. I like to call it art. I have been studying the work of other artist and each time I ask myself why I like what they painted. As I study farther I ask is it the smooth perfect lines or the hidden colors. I decided it was all of it. I think I especially like it when I add colors that even I don't see. Like blue when it should be black or pink or purple that I decide to place just because I want to. Anyway what I find today is a loose painting that makes me happy and isn't that what it is all about?
I just thought I would paint an animal that I have never painted before. This is the cutest little guy with all of the underlying pinks. He is painted on a 5x7 canvas panel.
Wild Flowers barn painting by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan
I don't usually paint from memory. My comfort zone is to paint plein air or from a photo but this one is painted from memory. My crazy slow computer would not come up so after waiting it seemed like forever I just started painting. This is the result. I must say that I really like it. The window in the back was an after thought but it reads well I think.
My Old Red Barn barn painting by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan
I stopped by the side of the road because there is just something about old barns. The red is bright on the actual painting however I don't know if they are quite this red.
Tattered Red barn painting landscape by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan
I found this barn by the road...I had seen it before but it was near someones house. I got the courage walked up to the door and ask an elderly gentleman if I could paint his barn. Why sure lady he answered in his heavy southern accent. This place really made me smile. I walked past bee hives with hundreds of honey bees buzzing. The family dog came up to say hi then just gingerly sauntered off to play with the cat. There were two swings suspended from a tree full of purple blooms, Three horses came up to stare. How oh how did I pick today to leave my camera at home. I think I will go back tomorrow. 5x7 barn landscape painting oil on canvas panel.
First Bloomers barn, landscape painting by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan
This little barn was sitting right by a north Alabama country road. I pulled to the side of the road and painted as the warm sunshine beamed down on me. What a lovely day.

Among The Daisys by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan
My colors on this one are a little bright but in reality the ones in real time is pretty bright. I was afraid that when I finished this that it would not accurately represent the true colors of the painting but it is pretty close. farm animals,5x7 oil on canvas panel.
