The Long Road Home

The Long Road Home
Another country landscape. I am still lovin it. I feel such a sense of
freedom. Isn't that strange. While at the workshop we painted clouds
in a way I haven't done before. I felt jubilant. I had so much fun. What I
mean is I am still having fun.

Christmas Blessings

Christmas Blessings
It's winter. It is cold outside. The snow is crisp in the meadow and
the sound of church bells can be heard far away ringing the bells
that tell all of Christmas Blessings.

New Beginnings

New Beginnings
A new born calf is exploring it's home. A barbed wire
fence protects it from getting lost on the vast farmland. Flowers
pop up and are soon tasted as the next found treasure.
Butterflies meander along in the warm air of springtime.
This is not just any calf, He has been befriended by the farmers daughter.
He will be afforded a special long life of delicacies.
A long life of being loved as the special pet of the Farmer's daughter.

The Coming Storm

The Coming Storm
I painted this today while feeling quite sad. My 86 year old dad who had an accident about three weeks ago was diagnosed with probable spinal cord cancer. He is now paralyzed from the waist down. We visited with him on Fathers day in the hospital. He was so happy to see us and knew everyone. Before that and since, he has been confused and doesn't  know anyone. I guess the day we visited him was just one  more little gift from God. My mom is so sad, and as our lives change each day I can feel
 "The Coming Storm."
Painted with a palette knife on panel board.

Down a Country Road

Down a Country Road
Two houses on a simple dirt road which leads to home. A road less traveled, A place where few have been before. Out in the country where wild flowers bloom and butterflys dance in the breeze, Where dogs bark at rabbits in the field and where life is good, A place called home.
